Scientific Drawing

This week as part of our literacy unit we have been learning how to sketch and annotate scientific drawings.  We selected a piece of a plant from the garden outside our classroom then followed the ABCDE method to create our drawings.  Once we had finished we had to use our research skills to identify the plant we had sketched and find the scientific name for the plant.  Here are some examples of our drawings.

  17. Hi Totara School I love the way you have drawn the plants and have put so much detail in it and the way you have described it by saying what type of plant it is and showing us the tiny flowers that they grow maybe next time you could tell us more about why you picked certain plants is it because they look pretty or because the are really big or small I would like to know.

    do you like sketching?
what's the best art of it?
